Saçak Picnic Area

Saçak Picnic Area, located just west of the Nallıhan district center and south of the villages of Aşağıbağlıca and Yukarıbağlıca, is accessible via the Sarıcakaya-Nallıhan Highway. This natural wonder features geological formations. The area is suitable for camping, nature walks, and photo safaris.

Hirfanlı Dam

Located near Evren district centre, Hirfanlı Dam is a good place to fish. Scaled carp, catfish, freshwater mullet, atherina, tench and crayfish are found in the dam lake. There are social facilities in Atatürk Park by the lake. Being one of the first dams of Turkey, Hirfanlı has a beach. Besides, boat trips are organised on the lake. The surroundings of the lake is suitable for photosafari, angling and bird watching.

Yenice Dam

The Yenice Dam, located on the Sakarya River, which also forms the Ankara-Eskişehir provincial border, south of Yenice village, 67 kilometers from the center of Nallıhan district, began energy production in 2000. It is located west of the Gökçekaya Dam. The natural beauty of the dam reservoir's surroundings is worth seeing. There are suitable areas for camping and nature walks in the surrounding area. The Yenice side of the dam lake can be reached via the Sarıcakaya-Nallıhan Highway. The dam reservoir can also be reached from the south of the Sakarya River, via the village of Sakarıkaracaören.

Juliopolis

Excavations of the Roman Period necropolis, initiated in 2009 by the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations in the Gülşehir area of Çayırhan town, Nallıhan district, are ongoing. Numerous bronze coins bearing the name of Juliopolis, the lost city of Bithynia, have been found in the opened tombs. The artifacts found here are on display at the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations.
