Milk is poured into a pot and butter is added, after which flour is gradually incorporated while stirring until the desired consistency is achieved. The mixture is then transferred to another pan, where additional butter is added and it is stirred until the bottom turns golden. Once thoroughly browned, the höşmerim is inverted onto a serving plate and served topped with rose jam.
