Preparation: Combine 3 cups of sour cherry juice, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 3 tablespoons of wheat starch in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens. Once it reaches a pudding-like consistency, remove it from the heat and let it cool in a wide dish. After it sets, slice and serve.
Although this dessert is most commonly made with sour cherries, it can also be prepared with any seasonal fruit.
