Recipe
Yogurt, egg, baking powder, and flour are combined in a bowl and mixed to obtain a soft, pourable batter. Once the oil heated in a pan reaches the appropriate temperature, small spoonfuls of the batter are dropped into the oil and fried until golden. The fried pieces are transferred to a bowl and left to cool slightly. Subsequently, a syrup known locally as şeker kestirmesi is prepared by bringing four cups of water and four cups of sugar to a boil in a pot. The fried pieces are briefly dipped into the warm syrup and removed immediately to prevent them from softening, after which they are ready to be served.
