Preparation of the Dough First, water, flour, and salt are placed in a suitable bowl and kneaded into a dough. After the dough is divided into small portions, each portion is rolled out with a rolling pin into a thin, round sheet and shaped into flatbread. The dough is then cut into small square pieces and left to dry in the sun or baked in the oven until lightly golden. Preparation of the Soup Green lentils are boiled in a pot for a while, and once softened, they are drained. In a separate pot, onions are lightly sautéed in oil, after which tomato paste is added. The boiled lentils are then incorporated and sautéed briefly. Water is added, and the mixture is brought to a boil. The soup is transferred to a serving bowl, yogurt is drizzled over the top, and cracklings sautéed in oil in a separate pan are added, after which the soup is ready to be served.
