Höşmelim ( Höşmerim- Dessert)

Recipe

Höşmelim is prepared using approximately 400 grams of butter added to one liter of milk. Both white flour and whole wheat flour are used in equal proportions to ensure the dough separates easily. After the milk placed in a pot comes to a boil, 200 grams of butter are added and the mixture is stirred continuously to prevent curdling. Once 800 grams of flour are incorporated and the dough reaches the desired consistency, it is removed from the heat.

In a separate pan, the remaining butter is melted and the dough is transferred to this pan. The mixture is stirred constantly to ensure both the bottom and top are evenly browned. Traditionally, höşmelim was served with sugar sprinkled on top; in recent years, it has also been prepared and served with syrup
