Overview

It is located 22 kilometres east of the
ancient Gordion site, at the 60th kilometer
of Ankara Polatlı Highway and between
Hacıtuğrul Village and the Yenidoğan Train
Station. It is one of the largest mounds in
Turkey. Excavations in the tumulus revealed
andesite stone walls and ceramics better
qualified than those made by the Phrygians.
The finds are generally close to the Gordion
art.
